As of Friday, Sep. 8th in the early afternoon, HopeLine's main textline number (919)-231-4525 has not been receiving texts due to a technical issue with our existing phone company and SMS provider.
HopeLine staff have been working tirelessly to correct this issue as quickly as possible, but we were notified as of this morning that returning the texting services to this number could take as long as two weeks. Despite this, HopeLine staff continues to work to try to get this wait time down.
The toll-free number, (877)-235-4525 is currently up and receiving text messages and will be staffed during the TextLine's normal hours Monday-Friday 9am-11pm. If you wish to engage in a text conversation with a caring, nonjudgmental volunteer during this time, please text (877)-235-4525.
HopeLine deeply apologizes to anyone who may have reached out to our TextLines and received no response - this does not reflect on HopeLine's willingness and mission to serve those in crisis.
If anyone has questions or concerns regarding this technical outage, please reach out to HopeLine staff on our business line (919) 832-3326.
